The Irish Rat Pack

Jason O’Callaghan’s Irish Rat Pack are celebrating after becoming the first band in Irish history to go on the cover of a wedding magazine. The band are also following up on the success of being picked by RTE’s Afternoon show to perform at the wedding of the year live on air by performing this year for Michael Flatley at the VIP black tie dinner in his honour by the Variety Club in Dublin’s Four Seasons hotel.

Founded in 2002 by the former Sunday Independent gossip columnist Jason O’Callaghan the band have gone from strength to strength selling out shows in Dublin’s Vicar Street six times plus the Olympia Theatre. Following a national tour the band now perform at over 100 weddings a year while also appearing in such publications as OK magazine in the UK and Ireland after performing at the wedding of one of the members of the chart-topping Irish girl band B*Witched. Jason also recorded a charity album at Christmas with the former Westlife star Brian McFadden.

Even thought the band perform at star studded events such as the premiers of “Love Actually” and “Bridget Jones diary” the band perform mostly at weddings thesedays. Prices start at around â‚ ¬2,000 which most agree is highly competitive for a band at such a high level. The band now have countless imitators but remain the first and most in demand Rat Pack show in Ireland. The good news is that aswell as the hits of the Rat Pack the band also perform all the hits you would expect to hear at a wedding such as Barry White, Tom Jones, Elvis plus many many more.
