The Mclaughlin family, proprietors of Ross Castle , offer venues to meet and exceed your wedding expectations. A marquee ideally situated for panoramic views of mountains and lake suited for parties of up to 150 guests. Or an intimate setting for parties of up to 65 guests in the Castle’s formal dining/parlor area.
Ross Castle can facilitate both a chapel and civil ceremony. The chapel can accommodate up to 70 guests or you can choose from the estate’ s idyllic settings.
Ross Castle offers elegant accommodations in a stunning setting of natural beauty. The Castle, cottages and apartments have glorious views of lake, mountains, forest and parkland.
Ross Castle borders Connemara and is 9 miles from Galway City. The Aaron Islands, Cliffs of Mohar, golf courses and horseback riding are all close by.
Ross Castle, built during the 16th century, is a listed building restored to contemporary standards and complimented with tasteful furnishings.Every window captures magical views of rolling landscape, lake and parkland.
During your stay at The Castle, all of the following services will be provided and included: breakfast, dinner, personal laundry and cleaning. There are no extras. The five bedrooms in the Main House all have adjoining bathrooms with showers and heated towel rails.
The grounds of the estate are ideal for the active. Offering tennis, boating, fishing, football or softball on the sixteen acre front lawn and a vast forest, with trails, for a relaxing jog. There is swimming in the indoor pool, table tennis in the St. George, and pool in the Billiards Room.
For family reunions, anniversaries, or a large group of friends vacationing together, Ross Castle Courtyard is an ideal location. The wing of the castle, which forms one side of the courtyard, has four interconnecting apartments sleeping sixteen. Catherines’s Cottage on the east side of the courtyard sleeps six, and the St. George facing west sleeps twelve.The chapel, for an anniversary mass or a mass of anticipation, completes the quadrangle.
