Margaret is one of the most sought after singers for weddings in Ireland. The rich and haunting tone of her voice has been likened to Maire Brennan of Clannad, Enya and Karen Carpenter. Margaret has worked with many of Irelands leading entertainers including Sinead O Connor, The Chieftains, Luka Bloom, Sharon Shannon Paul Harrington, Kieran Goss, Brian Kennedy, Tommy Fleming and Noel V. Ginnity to name but a few. She has toured extensively in America, Japan and Europe with Ragus the Irish music and dance show.

Margaret is in constant demand as a session singer and has featured on many recordings including The Contender (Tommy Fleming), Bling When Ur Minging (Dustin the Turkey) and her own solo album project called Sheoda which achieved massive sales in the Far East with songs from this album featuring on many compilations including “A Womans Heart 2”Her voice was also used for the promotion of the hit musical “The Ha’penny Bridge” in 2005 and “Seagulls Dance” in 2006. She was also chosen as the female voice for “The Right Note” a new an innovative series of primary school music books released by Folens in 2007.

This year Margaret was invited by Fr Pat Rogers to be part of the Together.ie box set of wedding music CD’s which was released in January. Margaret is presently appearing as soloist in the world renowned Burlington Irish Cabaret and is also presently the Cantor in St Francis Xavier Church, Gardiner Street, Dublin. She welcomes you to come along on Sunday mornings at 11am if you would like to meet her and hear her sing live in a church setting.

I simply had to write to thank you again for singing at Dad’s funeral a few weeks back and thank you for the gift of your cd. It was very kind of you.

Like so many others this week I was stuck in the traffic chaos the other day for hours, but it gave me the opportunity to listen to some music in the car. Among some of my favourite artists are Josh Groban & Andrea Bocelli and shuffling around in the mix were Eva Cassidy, Sarah McLachan and you. After the 2nd hour of crawling along, I switched the random function off and listened to May The Road Rise to Meet You, repeatedly, again and again.

I though I should email to say thank you for making my journey home more pleasurable, for making Dad’s funeral a solemn yet personal celebration and to say that I shall continue to listen to your beautiful voice among the artists I mentioned above, you deserve to be among them.

You don’t know me but I recently attended the funeral mass for Barbara Clarke where you provided the music.

I’d first like to say how deeply moved we were by your performance, a marvellous tribute to my husband’s cousin.

In particular I was moved by the last song you performed, which I think was your rendition of Voice Of An Angel. Do you have a full recording, perhaps on a CD, that we could purchase? It would mean so much to my husband who, although we live in the south of England, was very close to his cousin.

We booked Margaret to sing at our wedding in November. All our guests and ourselves were totally blown away by her voice, a few of our guests actually asked me where I got that cd from as they had not seen Margaret. I met up with her a few weeks before the wedding and she was so friendly and helpful with our song choices.
